My First Born

I'm getting super emotional thinking about adding another baby to our clan. Thinking about how much less attention I'll be giving my 1st born. He's my everything. He showed me what true and unconditional love really feels like. He taught me how to be a mom. He's been so patient with me as I learn. I still don't know what I'm doing... He gave my life a brand new purpose and for that, I can never thank him enough.

For 2 1/2 years, it was just he and I. We grew and learned together. When his brother came along, he was so understanding that mommy had a new baby to care for. He struggled to share his mommy at first, but quickly embraced his new roll as big brother. He tried to help me out in any way he could, even though I know it was hard for him to share me.

With baby sister due to be here any day now, there are just a few things that I want my 1st born to know;

First- I'll always love you just as much as ever. In fact my love for you only grows with time.

Second- You'll always be my baby. Even though you're in school now and do big boy things like play video games, you'll always be the sweet faced little bald baby to me. You'll never be to big for me to hold you or play with you. Never.

Third- Mommy will never ever be too busy for you. Even if I have your brother in one arm and your sister in the other, I'll give them to baba when you really need me.

Fourth- We'll always have this special bond that no one can ever break. You know me the way no one else does and I you.

Lastly- I just want to know that everything I do is for you. I'll always do anything I can to make all of your dreams come true.
