My girl
I am 33 weeks pregnant and totally feeling it. I feel large. I feel aches and pains and strains, but overall I just feel lucky. Lucky that I get to house this growing life. This little girl who I already feel so connected to in a weird way. It's easy to complain about everything that hurts and how tired I am, but I know how many women out there would kill to be in my position. How many of them would give anything to feel these aches and pains. For many women pregnancy does not come so easily. Which is why I try to embrace the good, the bad, and the ugly. I stop to acknowledge
every beautiful little movement and cherish hard these short 9 months that she is developing in my womb.We got to check up on the girl baby today at our midwives office. We have all decided to call her "the girl baby" until she's got an official name. Up until now the girl baby had been measuring a few weeks small, but today she was right on par with where she should be.
I love the experience of going to a birth center. My kids get to come and help the midwife check on mommy and baby sis and I love that they get to be fully engaged in the experience. They love to help push the buttons and get so excited when they hear her little heart beat. It's let getting to watch all my kids play together already, kind of... makes me excited for the future.
I'm getting so anxious to meet her. I just want to know what she looks like, what she smells like, what she sounds like! I can't begin to imagine what having a little girl will be like. All I've had are boys and that's all I know. I feel as though this little girl is going to come in and rock our world.
