First Day of School Madness!
I survived my first babes first day of school! I'm so proud of him and myself for making it through this day. The day started off hectic. Bash just wasn't in the mood to do anything I needed him to do this morning which in turn made me really frustrated. Our frustrations bounced of one another and I feel like that made for a very uneasy first drop off experience.
He wouldn't let me go when I tried to leave. He just kept begging.. please don't leave me mommy. It was so hard, but with the help of my sister, we made the drop and dash and left him hearing his cries all the way to the car. Since he only goes half day, 3 hours came and went and it was time to pick my big boy up. The pickup situation was also complicated and stressful but once I saw my baby and he was okay all my fears and stresses faded,
He had a great first day. He said he even made a friend although he doesn't remember his name. I think it will get easier and easier each time.
I'm still kind of on the fence about entering into the public school system, or just the school system in general. When I first had kids, I always thought I'd homeschool. There's just something so structured that I don't like about school. I don't really like the idea of having to be somewhere everyday at the same time without fail. Nothing in my life is really structured, but maybe that's what we need in our lives, is a little bit of structure. I don't know...I guess only time will tell. As long as my babies are happy, then so am I.
I hope all of your precious babies had the most marvelous first day of school!
